BLOBFISH

A Fathead (genus Psychrolutes) trawled during the NORFANZ expedition at a depth between 1013 m and 1340 m, on the Norfolk Ridge, north-west of New Zealand. The scientists and crew on board the RV Tangaroa affectionately called this fish 'Mr Blobby'. What an arsehole. Nah, I'm just kidding, he's ok really.

WIN THE RACE

Just win the race. It's that easy, it's all you need to do...

Picture of the day.

This guy has it going on. Is he a spy? An auteur? Or some kind of kick ass billionaire playboy philanthropist? Whatever he is, I want in.

Christopher Nolan

I found a trailer for an early film by Dark Knight writer/ director Christopher Nolan today called Following. It's about a writer who is 'obsessed with following random people. Scenes are shown out of chronological order, and as such the viewer becomes disoriented; having to deduce the elements of the story in the same way as the protagonist calculates what is going on around him.' Or so Wikipedia says...

Here is another short film which I feel uses Kino-Eye to struggle against bourgeois ideas about life, the world, about art. This experiment in improving our visual perception harbours within itself great potential. (Needs sound)

My review of The Dark Knight

After months of expectation, I was worried. Concerned it might not live up to all my expectations...

But I knew I had to do it. So I got washed and went to the cinema...

I watched and couldn't take my eyes off the screen...

It was AMAZING. Especially this guy...

Sorry. This guy. He was AWESOME.

Also this guy will be underrated because the clown died in real life, but he was also AWESOME.

Incredible stuff. Tonight I will sleep fitfully, knowing full well, I will never, ever make anything as good.

Fox didn't know how to act.

I think my grandmother would own some vermin if she didn't spend all her free time kicking it with the demons of dementia.

"A 77-year-old grandmother was recovering at home after she pinned down a rabid fox that bit her and held it until help arrived. Avis Blakeslee was attacked as she tended to her petunias outside her Stroudsburg farmhouse.

She said she pushed the animal to the ground after it bit her, and held its jaws shut with one arm as she flagged down a passing driver with the other. Blakeslee's teenage grandson, who lives next door, heard the motorist's cries and ran to help, followed by Blakeslee's son, who shot the animal.

Blakeslee lost a large amount of blood. She underwent surgery to clean out her seven leg wounds and arm wound, and spent four days in the hospital after the attack last week. "I've been on a lot of antibiotics and pain medicine," she said.

Cory Bentzoni, a wildlife conservation officer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, said tests confirmed that the fox was rabid. Blakeslee said she initially thought the animal was a dog.

"I had never seen a fox," she said. "I've seen a dead one once."

Rabid fox attack? I would have not handled it so well.

N.B on the subject of demetia, did you know that Second Childhoodis a term used to refer to senile people. Brutal, and not a little patronising.

An evening with Netta Skog

I'm saying a chick playing metal on an accordion has ten fold of hotness on any women that plays a cello. Even though her legs are open and stuff...
